Continue Blogging.....

Well we are in our last few week's of class and I must say that I have really enjoyed blogging with all of my classmates and professor. At first I didn't think that I would be to interested in blogging, but you never know what you'd be interested in until you try it. It is a great way for just venting, or just everyday writing for someone that enjoys writing on an everday basis. Now that I have gotten the hang of this I must say that I will definitely continue blogging even after this class is over with. I think it's a great way to communicate with other people because not everyone has the same views and it is very interesting to see what other people think or have to say about something.

New Year's

Wow, I can't believe there is only 2 more days left in this year. I guess it is true what my elders say, " the older you get the faster the years go by." I have noticed how true that is. Gosh it seems like yesterday I was only 25 years old. Sometimes I have to give myself a reality check and remind myself that I am 32 years old not 25.... Lol. Well at least I can say 2009 has been a very rewarding and exciting year for me. I think that the best thing that happened for me out of evryting this year would be that me and my best friend reunited again after 15 long years. I am just glad that I had wonderful family and friends to enjoy it with and hopefully it will contiue to be joyful and happy throughout 2010. Happy New Years to everyone.

Snow

We finally got some snow...I am so happy. Here in Va, we always seem to just get a light brush of snow that doesn't even last long enough to enjoy. Friday afternoon it started snowing and within an hour we had about 2 to 3 inches on the ground. I took Charlie my dog outside and I just knew she would be scared of the snow but she fooled my because she started playing and jumping around in it. After going back in I layed down for a little while and took a nap. When I woke up it was still snowing. It snowed all night that Friday and all day Saturday. We got about 2 1/2 feet of snow. It made me feel like I was back at home in Germany. I haven't really seen a decent snow like this since I left Germany. I have relly been enjoying it. Hopefully we will get some more which I think they are calling for more on Wednesday and Thursday. That will be great. Well I hope everybody has a safe and Happy Holidays.

The Writing Process

When it comes to the writing process I think that each individual has to find what works best for them. In order to write a good paper I think that everyone should have some kind of a plan put together for the topic that they will be writing about. Prewriting includes: listing, clustering, bubbling, informal outlines, free writing and brainstorming. I myself prefer to use bubbling and informal outlines. Bubbling for me is
helpful for organizing ideas and using the informal outline helps me to better generate ideas and get a notion of structure. Everyone has their own way of organizing and planning their work.

This Year...

This year has really gone by fast. I was just sitting here today asking myself where did the time go...It seems like it was just the summer. I guess when you keep busy time always passes you by. I am really proud of all the accomplishments that I have made this year. When I enrolled into Kaplan back in the beginning of January this year I just knew that I was going to get bored with taking online classes, but I was definitely wrong. My experience has been great with taking online classes. November 2010 is right around the corner and before I know it, it will be time for me to graduate. I do plan on continuing my education to purse a master's degree. I am very thankful to have wonderful classmates and great professors this term. I just want to thank all of you for being very helpful and kind.
